I finished Roadside Picnic last night and it was quite a read. I come away still thinking about many aspects of it, and wanting to read it again. The outstanding image in my mind is one of Red’s daughter “monkey” cuddling up to her moulage (non-eating zombie-type) grandfather with her parents present. I don’t want to give up the plot, suffice it to say it is definitely worth a read.
I picked up Stephen King’s latest publication. It’s a short story:

I also started reading The Creative Process in the Individual by Thomas Troward since I’m participating in National Novel Writing Month this month, it’s a relaxing read just before bed. Here’s a preview:
